The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Democritus University of Thrace, established in 1975, boasts a rich history rooted in its founding as part of the esteemed School of Engineering. Located in the vibrant city of Xanthi, the department operates primarily from the expansive University Campus of Kimmeria, with additional laboratory facilities housed in Building XIII in the downtown area, dedicated to hands-on experimental work.

The department originated within a university setting, emphasizing the integration of high-level research with practical technical education. It addresses the evolving needs of society and industry, championing fields such as telecommunications, power systems, microelectronics, and computer engineering. With a faculty comprising 35 renowned professors, the department is a hub for advanced teaching and research, fostering an environment where academic rigor meets real-world application.

The conference will take place at the auditoriums of Building A, which include a large auditorium with a capacity of about 300 people and three smaller auditoriums, each able to accommodate up to 150 attendees. These auditoriums are fully equipped to support a wide range of events, from academic conferences to diverse departmental activities, ensuring a conducive environment for the IEEE CAFE 24 conference. Find out more here
