By Air
The nearest airport to Xanthi is Kavala International Airport “Alexander the Great” (KVA), located approximately 40 kilometers from the city. By Car
If you prefer to drive, Xanthi is well connected by road.
- From Thessaloniki, drive on the Egnatia Highway (A2), part of the European route E90, which runs near Xanthi. Passing the Nestos bridge, take the East Exit to Xanthi. Continue straight until you reach the east entrance of the city.
- From Komotini or Alexandroupoli, the route is similar, taking the East Exit on Egnatia Highway directly to Xanthi. Within Xanthi, navigating to the Kimmeria area is straightforward; at the railroad intersection in the east of the city, a right turn will lead you there.
Driving from Thessaloniki takes about two hours, and from Athens, it takes approximately six hours, offering picturesque views of the Greek countryside.
